- As part of SQUARE ENIX’s marketing campaign for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, which was available on PlayStation 4 and Windows, SQUARE ENIX commissioned to create 50 custom consoles (with controllers).
- PlayStation 4 Pro model assets including Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood’s keyart image for the top of the console using a mixture of creative print work and paint techniques. The game’s main antagonist Zenos yae Galvus’s menacing glowing red eyes stare out at the player from behind his iconic armored helmet.
- The keyart was also used for the controllers, with the wispy clouds used to create a mysterious, almost-ethereal effect to complement the custom PlayStation 4 Pro’s dark, moody exterior. The custom PlayStations were competition prizes for SQUARE ENIX’s global partners (including Red Bull and JB Hi-Fi) to help attract lead data of players most interested in the IP.
