5 consoles were given away at lottery to the first 25 buyers of the GTA: Chinatown Wars game at Nintendo World during the games Launch Party in New York on March 16th, 2009.
Some consoles were given to GameStop employees. One particular store, won consoles for having the most preorders for the game in the company.
There’s 4 versions, 2 with a decorated Rockstar themed interior and 2 with a plain interior. All split between Huang Lee and Ling Shan designs.
Red interior versions, were the few on display at the Nintendo World event (not giveaway consoles).
